Australis Make-up Finishing Spritz

Packaging
It comes in an opaque recycable low BPA plastic bottle, 150ml. It has a black 'spray top' lid. The brand name is quite prominent as it's in black, however the name of the actual product is quite hard to read as it's just a few shades darker than the liquid inside, so this might make it harder to pick out on the shelves.

How you apply it
The directions state that you simply spritz lightly after applying make up, holding 12-20 cm away, so that I did.
I first sprayed into the air to clear the nizzle, thank god because the first spray came out as big drips! So i highly recommend you do this! I then gave two light spritz as I didn't want to drench my face, however, it didn't feel effective so I done a few more sprays until my face felt damp and left it to dry. Easy!

First impressions
I had a bit of a late night the night before I used this so my eyes were quite puffy and sore but when I spritzed this on my face my initial reaction was Oh My God that feels sooo nice! It was so cooling all over my face but so soothing on my eyes. It did feel like it was hydrating my skin without the heavy feeling of some products.
This spritz contains aloe vera and rose water. When I first spritzed it onto my skin I checked the ingredients expecting rose water to be the main ingredient as this was exactly what it smelled like, however I was surprised to find it was third last on a long list!
The amount I applied made my face feel damp, however this feeling only lasted a minute and by the time I had done my hair I couldn't even tell I had it on!

Long term effects
At the end of the day I went back to my mirror as was pleasantly surprised! I have overhanging lids, which means 90% of shadows end up in a line in the crease of my eyelids. However my eyeshadow was exactly how I applied it that morning! Top marks.
Unfortunately I can not say the same for my foundation and concealer. I had two obvious blemishes which I had covered that morning with foundation, concealer and powder. When I looked in my mirror the first thing that jump out to me was the blemishes :( they were as red as before I had applied my makeup. However, it has been a very hot day (in the high 20s), extremely humid and I had been doing a lot of running around so I had expected a lot of wear. I did have some coverage left, enough to cover my pigmentation patches on my cheeks and forehead so overall I was very happy with it!

Overall
Taking everything into consideration this product is definitely worth the $14.95 price tag.
It will not clog your pores or congest oily skins (like mine), it will hydrate all skins, helping to fight against the signs of aging!
It is fool proof and easy to apply, you need to pump the spray out so you can feel how 'wet' your skin is getting gradually preventing you from overdoing it.
The container is perfect size to throw in your handbag to freshen up throughout the day, while still having enough product to last a long time.
It is an effective product, I am so impressed with how well it holds my eye make-up and in days that are not too humid it does give my foundation a bit of extra staying power.

Who is it best for?
This is one of those 'all rounder' products that I love! It is suitable fir all skin types and it won't aggravate sensitive skins, it hydrates dry and dehydrated skins and is very light on oily skins.
I recommend this product to everyone wanting to give their make-up that extra staying power so they can let their hair down without having to worry about reapplying make up all night.

Have you tried Australis Make-up Finishing Spritz? Did you have a similar experience or a completely different one? I'd love to hear your experiences.
